Congo: war with no end (2018)

Multimedia piece, documenting the situation of the Congolese people in the region of North-Kivu. Together with the Spanish public radio journalist Santiago Barnuevo we produced 3 chapters multimedia story, using photography and sound to raise awareness on violence against women, access to health, displacement, resources extraction as well as nature conservation.

As a part of this series we interviewed world-renowned gynaecologist and human rights activist Dr Denis Mukwege shortly before he received the Nobel Peace Prize.

This reportage has received 2019 Memorial Joan Gomis Award in Multimedia category.

Mining for dollar a day

Asefili, a mother and refugee who escaped from North-Kivu armed clashes, makes less than a dollar a day in clandestine coltan mines in the region of Numbi.

Surrounded by violence

18-years old victim of armed clashes between Raiya Mutomboki militia and military is treated for bullet wounds in an MSF-run hospital in Lulingu, the only medical center in the whole region.
